🎃 No tricks here—just a chance to do something good! 💚

As Halloween weekend kicks off, we're thinking about the neighbors and community programs working hard to make sure people have access to food.

Our 4th Annual Virtual Food Drive is one way you can help. Every donation supports Hunger Task Force's work to alleviate hunger throughout the Coulee Region.

And don't forget our fundraising challenge… 🥧
🎯 $30,000: Nicole gets pied!
🎯 $50,000: Shelly gets pied!

Help us reach the goals and give our community one more reason to smile!

💚 Donate at lacrossehtf.org/FoodDrive/ or share this post to spread the word.

🍬👀 Okay, parents… let’s hear it!

What’s the candy tax you always collect when the kids get home from trick-or-treating? 😂

The Reese’s? The Kit Kats? The “I’m just checking for safety” handful? 👀🍫

No judgment here… we just want to know who’s claiming the good stuff! Drop your candy tax in the comments! 👇🎃

We can’t wait to grow, learn, and dig in with you again in 2027! 🌱

💚 “I truly believe that no one should go hungry.”

Jill Hamilton first became involved with Hunger Task Force of La Crosse around 2014, when her sister invited her to volunteer at events. As she learned more about our mission, she knew she wanted to be part of the work!

Today, Jill serves as Board Secretary and sits on the Fundraising Committee. She enjoys helping at events and representing us in the community.

Jill hopes more people understand that we’re a free and local food bank, sourcing and distributing food to local pantries and meal programs while keeping good food out of landfills.

She loves spending time with family and friends, especially at her family’s lake cabin. She’s also a proud grandma to eight grandchildren! 💚

Thank you, Jill, for your dedication, passion, and commitment to helping ensure no one goes hungry!

📸 Ever wonder what goes on behind the scenes at your local food bank? There’s a lot happening beyond what you see!

From rescuing food and organizing our warehouse to supporting local pantries, meal sites, youth programs, and growing fresh produce at Kane Street Community Garden, our team and volunteers work together to help keep our community nourished.

Every day looks a little different, but one thing stays the same: our commitment to helping our neighbors access the food they need. 🥕📦

We’re proud of the work happening behind the scenes, and we’re grateful to everyone who helps make it possible!

🦌 Hunters, how's your season going? Let's see those harvests! 📸

We know hunting season is still getting underway, and we're ready to see your photos! Whether it's your first deer or a harvest you're especially proud of, share a picture in the comments. 👇

And remember, your harvest can help feed others, too! Through the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Deer Donation Program, hunters can donate eligible deer to participating processors. Here in La Crosse, St. Joe's Country Market is a local drop-off option.
