Take a look at these amazing photos from our recent art program at P.D. Brown: "Mini Velvet Pumpkin Patch" ~ everyone had such a wonderful time meeting, relaxing, and socializing with new friends while making this fun and charming fall craft.

Each patron received a variety of soft, thick chenille yarn in beautiful autumnal tones. Several pre-cut cardboard tubes, scissors, and a directional packet with detailed photo assembly instructions were also on the tables.

Patrons thoughtfully chose their chenille yarn color and followed along during a live weaving demonstration, watching and learning how to build their adorable velvet pumpkin. After weaving their first pumpkins, they began work on additional pumpkins and shared skeins of yarn at the tables.

Halfway through the program, patrons were surprised with a delightful homemade pumpkin patch! They could walk over and "pick" up to three gifted, colorful velvet pumpkins to add to what they were already weaving. Cinnamon sticks decorated with bright Baker's twine were ready and waiting at the pumpkin patch for the pumpkins' stems.

Do you love space? Do you dream of exploring the Final Frontier (or at least learning more about it)? Then join the CCPL Astronomy Club! Meetings are the fourth Thursday of the month, and are hosted virtually by our special guest presenter, Josh Urban! All ages are welcome!

Do you want to fill your home with harvest-themed accents in vibrant swirls of color? Join us as we teach you how to decorate a variety of materials with the art of hydrodipping!

Harvest season is right around the corner, and what better way to mark the season than by trying the viral trend of hydrodipping? This technique involves dropping bright paint colors onto the water's surface, stirring the colors, and dipping various materials into the paint to create a beautiful, unique marbled pattern.

We'll have assorted materials such as glass jars, 5x5'' mini canvases, mini white pumpkins, pretty wooden decorations, mini white metal tins, and plain cardstock paper (which can serve as personalized scrapbooking or journal paper) to design one-of-a-kind centerpieces to brighten your home for the upcoming autumn season.

Please note that registrants must attend the program in person to receive the craft materials. Each patron interested in making a craft must register separately.

There are two chances to attend! This art program is split into TWO identical 45-minute sessions: one at 2 PM and the second at 3 PM.

Registration is required. Recommended for ages 12+.
