🔥🚒 LPISD 5th Grade Fire Prevention Burns! 🚒🔥

Our Fire Training Facility may be undergoing some much-needed renovations, but that isn’t stopping us from continuing one of our favorite fire prevention traditions!

Today, the La Porte Fire Department is conducting our annual LPISD 5th Grade Fire Prevention Burns at the Pasadena Fire Field.

During this live-fire demonstration, students will get a firsthand look at how firefighters respond to a structure fire. They’ll watch as our crews arrive on scene, make entry into the burning building, locate and remove a victim, and extinguish the fire.

This is a great opportunity for students to see what our firefighters do when responding to an emergency, while also learning the importance of fire safety and prevention.

A big thank you to the Pasadena Fire Department for allowing us to use their training facility so we can continue this annual tradition for our LPISD students!

One Call. One Team. One Purpose. 🚒

These folks worked diligently over the past nine months - both in person and online - to complete the course and today they were rewarded!

Congrats, everyone!! We're proud of each of you. We could not have done this without the generosity of our 2026 FCDP sponsor, HEAT Safety Equipment!! Many thanks to Greg and Jimmy and the gang at HEAT. We appreciate your support!!

🔥 Training Today Means Being Ready Tomorrow 🚒

This past Saturday, La Porte Firefighters put in the work with hands-on vehicle extrication training.

Our crews spent the day sharpening their skills, working through realistic scenarios, and practicing the tools and techniques needed to safely remove patients from heavily damaged vehicles.

Extrication is physically demanding and requires teamwork, communication, and experience. Training like this ensures our firefighters are prepared to perform when seconds count.

Proud of our crews for continuing to train, improve, and stay ready to serve the La Porte community. 💪🚒

Train hard. Stay ready. Serve proudly

We recently received our new Elkhart Brass 7/8" smooth bore nozzles, and we're excited to begin the process of placing them into service.

These nozzles are designed to deliver a powerful, reliable fire stream, providing our firefighters with another proven tool to help protect lives and property. Before they hit the streets, each nozzle will be inspected, assigned, and personnel will become familiar with the new equipment to ensure they're ready when the call comes.

Every equipment upgrade is an investment in firefighter safety, operational readiness, and our commitment to serving the City of La Porte with the best tools available.
