It's time to pick the Gulf Coast Reads book selection of 2026!

Each year, the Gulf Coast Reads Committee selects books that have broad appeal to adults and young adults, and that encourage dialogue about important issues.

You, the readers, will decide the Gulf Coast Reads selection!

We’re excited to team up with the City of La Porte and La Porte’s Historic Colored School for a collaborative community art project as we create a large-scale Juneteenth flag collage together 🎨

April was a full and lively month!🌷
We celebrated National Poetry Month, hosted Easter egg hunts, got out into the community through outreach, and even took a special senior bus trip, all adding up to a month that kept things lively from start to finish.
