Why did you choose to come work in Papillion La Vista Community Schools?
I loved the community and kept hearing non-stop amazing things about this district.
How did you know you wanted to become a teacher?
As the oldest kid in a big family, I’ve been teaching, babysitting, and helping with homework for as long as I can remember. Those early years are what made me fall in love with working with kids! I'm so excited to be starting my elementary teaching career here, and I love bringing lots of energy, creativity, and support to my classroom.
Who is an educator that inspired you?
My high school choir teacher at Norris, Wes Hansmeyer. He was consistently encouraging, approachable, and always willing to help when needed. Wes created an environment where everyone felt valued and important, and he was always someone you could go to for advice and support.
What is your favorite day or event of the school year?
I love the energy of the first day of school. It’s a fresh start for everyone, and I always look forward to getting to know my students, building our classroom community, and getting ready for a great year together.
What do you want your students to know?
My students are the reason I love coming to work each day. They bring so much joy to the classroom, and watching them learn and grow is the most fulfilling part of my job.
