Tonight we held our swearing in and welcoming ceremony at Laconia Fire Department. We welcomed Kyle Reardon, Nicholas Dal Bon, Cameron White, and Brian Engelsen to the LFD family. The following members: Noah Shastany, Kaylor Lodge and Jordan Lippmeier had their badges pinned on them for completing their year long probation. Noah had the privilege of receiving the same badge his father wore years ago. Congrats to everyone.

Laconia Firefighters Local 1153 participated in a fundraising softball tournament yesterday put on by Dover Firefighters IAFF L1312. There was some heckling, some sore muscles and some diving outs but all and all a good time was had by everyone. Always happy to support the MDA, we will see you next year!

Members of Local 1153 also had the honor of participating in the 9/11 tribute today. What an honor.

This morning, Chief Canfield and members of the Laconia Police Department were honored to join our community in commemorating the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

Standing together on Main Street beneath the American flag, we remembered the lives lost, honored the First Responders who ran toward danger, and recognized those who continue to suffer from 9/11-related illnesses 25 years later.

We are proud to serve a city that understands the importance of coming together to remember, reflect, and ensure the next generation understands the significance of this day.
