🚒 Always learning, always preparing!

FF Mancuso attended Heavy Vehicle Rescue Training in Robinson, building skills to help our crews respond to challenging rescue situations.

Thank you, Mancuso, for putting in the time and effort to better serve our community. We’re proud of your dedication! 👏

🚒🔥 We enjoyed visiting Connally Elementary School today for a fire safety presentation!

FF Lee talked with students about knowing two ways out of their home, knowing their home address, and remembering PASS—Pull, Aim, Squeeze, Sweep for fire extinguishers.

A big thank-you to the teachers, Officer Sanchez, the coaches, Principal Burnett, and all the students for welcoming us and making time for these important lessons. We love helping our young community members learn how to stay safe! ❤️🚒

Thank you, FF Lee, LT Gomez and Support Cornett for your dedication to the Cadets!

🚒🔋 Small charging habits can make a BIG difference!

It’s Fire Prevention Week, and LLFD is reminding you that fire safety starts with everyday choices—including how you charge your devices.

Safe charging helps prevent lithium-ion battery fires. Make smart choices every time you plug in, and help keep your family and home safe!

Way to go, LT Gomez!

Congratulations are in order! And thanks as well.

Kudos to the 2026 graduates of the SFFMA Fire Chief Development Program, which provides current and aspiring fire chiefs or assistant/deputy chiefs with the information needed to meet the changing demands of managing, improving, and directing volunteer and combination departments of all sizes.

These folks worked diligently over the past nine months - both in person and online - to complete the course and today they were rewarded!

Congrats, everyone!! We're proud of each of you. We could not have done this without the generosity of our 2026 FCDP sponsor, HEAT Safety Equipment!! Many thanks to Greg and Jimmy and the gang at HEAT. We appreciate your support!!

Another Wildland 389 update! 🚒🔥

A huge thank you to Adrian Huff for all the time and hard work he’s put into getting this unit where it is today. He’s completed the majority of the work himself, with some help along the way from other volunteers who have jumped in when needed.

It’s been a process, but Wildland 389 is really starting to come together. Every new addition gets it one step closer to being ready to serve our community.

⚠️ FLOOD WATCH — McLENNAN COUNTY

The National Weather Service Fort Worth has issued a Flood Watch beginning Wednesday, September 30 at 4:00 PM through Thursday, October 1 at 1:00 PM.

Widespread showers and thunderstorms are expected across North and Central Texas Wednesday through Friday. Rainfall totals of 2–5 inches are possible, with locally higher amounts where storms repeatedly move over the same areas.

Please stay weather aware over the next several days and keep up with local forecasts and alerts.

Most importantly, if you come across water covering the roadway:

TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN.

Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway. It’s not worth the risk.

Stay safe, Lacy Lakeview!
