FULL TRANSPARENCY: Unfortunately I won't be doing a final sit-down interview with 7th Congressional Republican candidate Michael Alfonso. (This photo is from March)

The campaign pulled the plug on a scheduled interview for Wednesday, Oct 21, because I wouldn't tell them the topics I wanted to discuss. I explained it would be issues 7th district voters would want to hear him on. Plus, I don't give interviewees the questions, or even the topics, ahead of time because they should be prepared to answer and not have to do homework. The campaign is willing to talk with anyone else besides ME, only AFTER the election, or at random campaign events. 🙄 So if you're thinking you're not hearing enough from Alfonso and too much from Clark, this is why.

Well, my opponent is in Dallas this week at some RNC "midterm convention”.

Rumor has it, tickets run $25K to $100K to attend. Almost no elected Republicans bothered to show up. Mostly just folks looking to get close to party insiders.

Meanwhile, back here in Northern Wisconsin, people are watching their grocery bills and gas prices climb because of an unnecessary war and reckless tariffs. And Michael Alfonso thinks now is the time to go rub elbows with the leaders who got us into this mess, or at best did nothing to stop it.

I think where you spend your time says a lot about what you care about. I spend my time here, talking with folks in this district, not ducking questions from the people I want to represent. Northern Wisconsin deserves someone who's up for the work involved, and is independent enough to stand up to their own party when it matters. That's the kind of representative I intend to be.
