🚨 IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL HOUSING APPLICANTS

PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING ANYTHING ONLINE!

Our online housing application portal is currently NOT working. We are working with our software team to get online applications back up and running as quickly as possible.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: If you have submitted information through the website and it shows as a “marketing lead,” that is NOT a housing application. It does not put you on our housing waiting list or serve as an official application.

Because we are currently in a software transition, we may not always be able to see or access the information submitted through the marketing lead system. Please do not rely on that submission as your housing application.

FOR NOW, THE ONLY WAY TO APPLY IS TO COME INTO OUR OFFICE AND PICK UP A PAPER APPLICATION.

We will be back in the office Thursday and will be happy to assist you with obtaining an application and answering any questions you may have.

PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Commissioners of Lafayette Housing Authority (“LHA”) will hold a regular meeting in open and public session at 613 Dycus Circle, Lafayette, Tennessee, at 6:00 p.m., on August 25, 2026, for the purpose of considering the below agenda items:

(i) the Rental Assistance Demonstration program documents required by HUD for the Lafayette Housing and Development Agency project;

(ii) Operating Budget for FYE 27

(iii) Approve list of Charge-Off’s vacated tenants

Any person wanting to provide public comment at the meeting shall express their desire to do so during the public input portion of the meeting. This notice is given pursuant to the provisions of Sections 8-44-101 to 8-44-106, inclusive, Tennessee Code Annotated.

📢 Important Notice from the Lafayette Housing Authority

Due to our upcoming software conversion, the Lafayette Housing Authority will not be accepting new housing applications during the month of August and possibly September.

At this time, applications are being processed using paper forms. If you would like to apply before the temporary application suspension begins, you must visit our office to pick up a paper application.

We offer preferences that may help move you higher on the waiting list, including:

To qualify, your household must have a minimum of 3 family members (depending on familial status) and a maximum of 6 family members.

📢 Waiting List Now Open!

The Lafayette Housing Authority is now opening the waiting list for our 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units. Families in need of housing are encouraged to apply.

You may apply online at www.lafayetteha.org to be added to the waiting list. After completing the online application, you must come by our office to pick up and complete the full application packet in order for your application to be processed.

Please note that the waiting list will only be open for a limited time, so we encourage anyone interested to apply as soon as possible.
