Imagine! Imagine! is a non-profit provider agency focused on empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through a variety of services.

was established in 1963 by a group of parents determined to see that their children with developmental disabilities had the opportunity to participate in their community. We continue to use that original goal as the basis for our mission. We believe in the potential of all. We believe that people with developmental disabilities have much to offer, and providing the tools and

This is what happens when creativity meets adaptive technology?

Thanks to a grant from the Big Joy Foundation, participants in Imagine!'s Social Enterprises + Adaptive Technology program have been experimenting with UV printing! They can use this technology to transfer artwork onto a variety of surfaces. So far, they've printed on cups, coasters, canvases, discs, and more. If it has a surface, there's a good chance they can print their original artwork on it!

UV printing gives artists more tools to express their creativity and explore new possibilities.
We're excited to see what these artists create next. Thank you, Big Joy Foundation, for making this possible and helping open new opportunities for creativity and innovation.

Who comes to mind when you think of someone who goes the extra mile?

Maybe it's the employee who listened when it mattered most. The one who opened a door, put a smile on someone's face, solved a problem, or helped someone feel welcome.

"Someone opened a door for our family. Over time, we found ways to open doors for others."

Those words from Patti Micklin stuck with us after our Open Doors event last week. Patti shared how her family came to Colorado looking for better opportunities for her daughter Emily who has intellectual and developmental disabilities. Patti and her family found something that made all the difference: connection. A conversation with another parent helped them see new possibilities and navigate a path forward.

That story captured the message of the evening. Open Doors brought together families, supporters, board members, community partners, and friends to share stories, build relationships, and explore what happens when people show up for one another.

As Patti shared, one open door often leads to another. Over the years, her family has helped create opportunities for others through relationships, leadership, and community connections. And that's true for so many people in the Imagine! community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared a conversation, made an introduction, or simply took time to connect. Those moments matter more than we sometimes realize.

You never know where an open door might lead.

At the end of September, members of Atonement Lutheran Church joined us for their annual "God's Work, Our Hands" day of service, washing our fleet vehicles inside and out. 🚐🧽

They've made this part of their September tradition for years, and we're so grateful for their partnership. This simple act of service helps keep the vehicles that many people rely on every day clean, comfortable, and ready for the trips that connect people to meaningful experiences, relationships, and opportunities throughout our community.

Thank you to everyone who spent their Sunday morning with us. We appreciate the helping hands, the good conversation, and the reminder that community often looks a lot like showing up with a sponge and a willingness to help.

It’s amazing to see the passion and dedication of ImagineNation! As they performed at the Lafayette Music Fest for the fourth year in a row in Saturday, they had everyone clapping, singing along, dancing and cheering.

Friends, family members, and community showed up, creating a fun and encouraging space that made the day even more special.

Thank you to everyone who came, clapped and made the day memorable. Your support shows the power of a community coming together for one another.

Those who rely on Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) every day understand their value better than anyone.

If you receive services, support a loved one, provide care, work in this field, or have firsthand experience with LTSS, your perspective will help inform this conversation.

Colorado is facing difficult budget decisions resulting in changes to Medicaid-funded LTSS, and HCPF is asking for input from the people who know these services best which are the people who use them, provide them, and rely on them every day.

You can share your perspective by joining an HCPF virtual stakeholder roundtable on Tuesday, October 6, or Wednesday, October 7. You can also provide feedback through HCPF’s survey.

Decision makers need to hear specific examples of how these supports help people live, work, build relationships, and participate in their communities so that they can make the most informed decisions with the limited resources they have. They also need to understand what these services accomplish, what could change without them, and where the greatest impacts and tradeoffs may be.

6 months of hard work and creative thinking resulted in this!

The talented actors of Imagine!’s Online Ensemble Acting class developed characters, created the script, rehearsed scenes, and brought their ideas to the film.

This year, the cast helped with the editing process and making creative decisions that shaped the final production. From the beginning ideas to the final performance, this truly became a production by the actors, for the actors.

We’re incredibly proud of the teamwork, dedication, and imagination these Online Ensemble members brought to this project. Go to our YouTube channel to see the full production!
