🎭✨ Behind the Scenes with Our Fifth Grade Theatre Stars! 🌟🎬

Our fifth-grade theatre students are putting their creativity, collaboration, and performance skills into action! From studying monologues and offering helpful feedback to their classmates, our young performers are learning how to bring characters to life while supporting one another along the way. 📖👏💛

Students are also exploring the art of tableau, using their bodies, facial expressions, and positioning to create scenes without saying a word! 🧍‍♀️🎭 Through these activities, they are discovering how spatial relationships on stage help tell a story visually and make performances more engaging.

And, of course, there’s plenty of creativity happening through improvisation! 🎬 Two students take the stage to create a scene on the spot while their classmates observe and learn from their performances. 💡🙌

We love seeing our fifth graders think on their feet, take creative risks, and grow into confident performers and supportive theatre teammates! 🌟🎭

Just a reminder that Fall Break begins today and continues through Tuesday, October 20th! We will be at school today until Parent-Teacher Conferences conclude at 11:30 a.m. If you were unable to attend conferences, please reach out to your child’s teacher after Fall Break to schedule a phone conference or Google Meet. 🎭👻 Creativity Takes Center Stage in Fourth Grade Theatre!✨

Our fourth-grade theatre students are putting their imaginations and acting skills to the test as they prepare for their upcoming Boo Bash performance! 🎃 Through a fun game of Gibberish Translator, students are practicing improvisation, thinking on their feet, and using expressive movements and gestures to communicate with their audience. 😂👏

Behind the scenes, our young performers are diving into their scripts, analyzing their characters, and sharing creative ideas during table work. 📖💡 These conversations help students better understand their roles, develop their characters, and bring their performance to life!

From thinking outside the box to collaborating with their classmates, our fourth graders are discovering that great theatre takes imagination, teamwork, and a little spooky fun! 🧙‍♀️🎬 We can’t wait to see their hard work shine at Boo Bash! 🌟👻

🌱🌻 Growing More Than a Garden! 🪴💚

Our amazing 3rd & 4th grade after-care students have been busy bringing our school garden back to life after school! 🌿✨ These enthusiastic gardeners are getting their hands dirty, beautifying our outdoor space, and discovering the joys of planting and caring for something special. 🌼

So far, our students have planted mums, sunflowers, cabbage, tomatoes, and avocado plants! 🍅🌻🥬 They’ve also given our existing flowers some extra love and care. 🌸 And the growing doesn’t stop there! We’re exploring more winter vegetables so our students can learn about growing fresh food, harvesting together, and sharing with others. 🥕🥦

Some of our young gardeners were a little hesitant to touch the dirt at first and started out wearing gloves. 🧤 Now, they’re rolling up their sleeves and getting their hands right into the soil! 🙌🪴

We’re so proud of these students for learning, growing, and working together to make our school a more beautiful place. The best part? They’re growing more than plants—they’re growing confidence, responsibility, teamwork, and a love for learning! 💚🌱

🎭🦞 A Standing Ovation for Our 3rd Grade Theatre Stars! 🌟👏

Our talented third-grade theatre students took center stage to present Clovis Crawfish and Batiste Bête Puante to their families, celebrating the end of their nine-week ARTS rotation! 🎬✨

After weeks of learning, practicing, and bringing their characters to life, our young performers had the opportunity to showcase their hard work, creativity, and growing confidence in front of a very special audience. 💛🎭 We are so proud of the dedication and teamwork they displayed throughout this experience!

🎭✨ Moving, Creating, and Imagining in Second Grade Theatre! ✨🎭

Our second-grade theatre students are discovering how actors use their bodies and imaginations to bring characters and stories to life! 🌟 Through the fun and engaging Mirror Game, students practiced observing and matching their classmates’ movements while building focus, coordination, and teamwork. 🪞👏

🎩🧣 The creativity continued as students worked together in groups to explore different ways props and costumes can transform a performance. With a little imagination, an ordinary object can become something extraordinary! 💫

We love seeing our young performers think creatively, collaborate with their peers, and discover all the ways they can express themselves through theatre! 🎬💛

🌟🎪 And the spotlight goes to… ELIZABETH! 🎪🌟

We are SO excited to announce Elizabeth as Cpl. Michael Middlebrook Elementary Fine Arts Magnet Academy’s 2026–2027 Student of the Year! 🏆💙🐴

Let us tell you… this was NOT an easy decision! Our finalists were absolutely incredible, and each one represented the very best of what it means to be a Middlebrook Mustang. We could not be prouder of the outstanding students we had the privilege of considering! ❤️

After a very difficult decision, Elizabeth was selected to represent our school, and we know she will make us proud! Her hard work, character, leadership, and Mustang spirit make her so deserving of this honor!

🎉 Congratulations, Elizabeth! We can't wait to cheer you on as you represent Middlebrook at the next level!
