🥶 Feeling the chill? Remember: Space heaters need SPACE!

✅ Keep heaters at least 3 feet from anything that can burn.
✅ Plug directly into a wall outlet—never an extension cord or power strip.
✅ Turn off and unplug before leaving the room or going to bed.
✅ Place on a solid, flat surface, away from children and pets.

Stay warm and stay safe, Lake Bluff! 🚒

🍂🎃 Fall is officially here! 🎃🍂
While fall decorations can add a fun and festive mood to your home, they can also create additional fire risks.

🔥 Keep decorations safely away from heat sources, fireplaces, heaters and open flames.
🕯️ If you enjoy a fall-scented candle, consider choosing a battery-powered flameless candle instead.
🎃 And as you bring those pumpkins and decorations home, take a moment to make sure they don't block exits or create trip hazards.

Enjoy everything fall has to offer and keep fire safety part of the season!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders who answered the call.

We will never forget those who were lost, those who served, and the families forever changed by that day.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 9.11.01 🇺🇸
