Samuel R. Ducote named a 2027 Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Star
________________________________

Our firm is proud to announce that Samuel Ducote, our founder and managing attorney, has been selected to the 2027 Louisiana Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for Civil Litigation

This recognition is a great honor. Fewer than 2.5% of attorneys in Louisiana receive this distinction each year.

Super Lawyers selects Rising Star honorees through a comprehensive, multiphase evaluation process that includes peer nominations, independent research of the nominees, professional achievements, and peer evaluations by other attorneys.

Samuel will be recognized in the March 2027 issue of Super Lawyers magazine along with the other 2027 Louisiana Rising Stars.

Our entire firm is deeply honored by this recognition, but we are even more grateful for the trust our clients place in our attorneys to advocate on their behalf. We look forward to continuing to serve Southwest Louisiana with dedication and integrity.

Jai Patel, was a joy to work with this summer. He is proactive, intuitive, incredibly hardworking, and intellectually curious. Though our time together during this internship was short, we are confident he has a bright future ahead. Good luck at New York University!

Update on Recent Arbitration Success achieved in our Firm’s Labor & Employment Practice
________________________________________

LAKE CHARLES—— Yesterday, Ducote Law Firm, LLC received a favorable arbitration ruling in a labor-relations matter involving the interpretation and application of a collective bargaining agreement (“CBA”) between a local labor union and an industrial employer.

Attorney Samuel Ducote represented the labor union’s local lodge in the arbitration. The local lodge represents nearly 1,000 hourly employees working across a range of skilled, operational, maintenance, shipping, and industrial positions.

The dispute concerned the interpretation and application of negotiated CBA provisions affecting all bargaining-unit members.

Following the arbitration proceedings, the arbitrator issued an award favorable to the Union’s position and granted relief benefiting affected bargaining-unit members.

Ducote Law Firm is honored to serve as dispute counsel for the Union’s local lodge and to fulfill its responsibility to defend and advocate for the collectively bargained rights of its members.

Indeed, it is the collective effort, skill, and dedication of these honest, hardworking men and women that form the backbone of our region’s industrial workforce and contribute directly to the success of the industries they serve. Our law firm is honored to stand beside these workers and, when necessary, to advocate for the rights and protections secured through collective bargaining.
