Homecoming is about more than the events, the traditions or what happens on the field. It's about the people who show up, the families, the friends and the community that make being a Panther so special.
At the heart of FSD3 is a community that stands together, supports one another and continues to show up.

Stronger Together.

Estep Resigns as Lake City High School Head Football Coach

Jamison Estep has resigned as head football coach at Lake City High School following the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season.

Estep was named permanent head coach in May 2025 after serving as acting head coach during the 2024-2025 season. He stepped into the role following the absence of longtime head coach Ronnie Baker, who was seriously injured in a bus crash nearly two years ago. Under Estep’s leadership, the Panthers continued to grow and qualified for the playoffs despite the mental and physical challenges the team faced in the aftermath of the accident. Following the season, Estep was named the 2024 South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association Assistant Coach of the Year.

A physical education teacher and member of Lake City High School’s athletic staff since 2008, Estep previously served as the Panthers’ defensive coordinator and assistant head coach before being named head coach. He has also led the school’s strength and conditioning program and currently serves as assistant athletic director.

“We sincerely thank Coach Estep for all he has done for Lake City High School and the Panthers’ athletic program,” said Matt Apicella, LCHS athletic director. “He is a tireless worker, and I consider him family. We respect his decision and wish him the best moving forward.”

Florence School District 3 has not established a timeline for hiring a new head football coach.

Leadership is about more than leading. It’s about serving others and showing appreciation!

Members of the Gentlemen’s Leadership Club recently visited the Florence 3 District Office to share food and deliver handwritten thank-you notes to district staff. This thoughtful gesture was a wonderful reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

We are proud to see these young men putting leadership into action!
