🚧 Station 1 Remodel Update! 🚒

Things are continuing to take shape at Station 1! One of the showers has been completely demolished and retiled, and the interior painting is getting wrapped up.

Little by little, we're making progress toward giving our crews a much-needed refresh to the place they call home while on duty. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue moving forward!

A big thank-you again to Lowe’s and everyone helping make this project happen! ❤️

🍬🚒 550 BAGS OF CANDY?! THAT’S A WHOLE LOT OF SWEETNESS! 😂

A HUGE thank you to Winn-Dixie #1671 on Heritage Oaks Circle and all their amazing associates for helping raise and donate 550 bags of candy to the Lake City Fire Department’s annual fall candy drive! 🎃🍭

Y’all didn’t just bring the candy… you brought the candy-coated thunder! 😂🙌

Because of your generosity, we’ll have plenty of treats to help make fall a little sweeter for the kids in our community. We appreciate you stepping up and helping us keep this fun tradition going!

Thank you for being such SWEET community partners! ❤️🚒

It is with heavy hearts that the Lake City Fire Department announces the passing of one of our valued team members. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with their family, friends, and fellow employees during this difficult time. We ask our community to respect the family's privacy as we grieve this loss.

This is a painful reminder that the struggles people face are not always visible. Those who dedicate their lives to caring for others need care and support, too. We encourage everyone to check on one another, lead with compassion, and remember that asking for help is a sign of strength.

Mental health matters. Su***de prevention matters. Every life matters. If you or someone you know is struggling, call or text 988 for support.

We mourn the loss of a member of our department family and will continue to support one another through this difficult time.
