💙💛 A Special Visit & Celebration at Rotary! 💛💙

What a fantastic meeting filled with learning, recognition, and Rotary fellowship!

🌟 A Special Welcome! We had the pleasure of welcoming District Governor Joe and his wife to our club! It was a wonderful opportunity to connect and celebrate the impact Rotary makes both locally and around the world.

🌎 The Power of the Rotary Foundation! District Governor Joe and our very own Ginny Sautner shared valuable information about the Rotary Foundation, how recognition points work, and the opportunities to honor generosity through the Paul Harris Fellow program. A great reminder that even small contributions can make a BIG difference!

🏆 Celebrating Our Members! Several of our outstanding club members were recognized with awards honoring their dedication, generosity, and commitment to Rotary throughout the year. Congratulations to all our award recipients!

🎉 Double the Recognition! We were especially proud when District Governor Joe presented our club with TWO Rotary Foundation banners:

💙 Every Rotarian, Every Year (EREY) – Recognizing our club’s commitment to having every member participate in supporting the Rotary Foundation.

💛 100% Foundation Giving Club – Celebrating that every active, dues-paying member of our club contributed to the Rotary Foundation during the Rotary year!

These awards represent something truly special — a club where members show up, give back, and believe in the power of service. We couldn’t be prouder of our Rotary family!

🤝 Service Above Self! Whether it’s giving our time, supporting our community, or contributing to projects around the world, our members continue to demonstrate what Rotary is all about.

Thank you to District Governor Joe and his wife for visiting, to Ginny for sharing her knowledge, and to every member who makes our club such a special part of Lake Havasu! 💙💛

🎓 Students of the Month – We had the pleasure of recognizing exceptional students from Thunderbolt Middle School and Calvary Christian Academy! We love celebrating the next generation of leaders in our community!

🚓 Community Education – A training officer from the Lake Havasu City Police Department joined us to provide valuable education on Narcan, its role in reversing opioid overdoses, and the importance of being prepared to save a life. Thank you for sharing this important information!

🤝 Growing Our Rotary Family – We were also excited to officially induct a new member into our club! We love welcoming individuals who share our passion for giving back and making a difference.

From celebrating our youth to learning lifesaving skills and welcoming new members, this is what Rotary is all about — connecting people, strengthening our community, and creating positive change!

We were also lucky to have our honorary member, Bob Moreno, back in the building! It was wonderful to see Bob and recognize all he has done over the years. Bob, thank you for your dedication to Rotary and for everything you have given to our community. It was great having you back with us!

John Parrott from our Wednesday Rotary Club stopped by to encourage everyone to learn about the Lake Havasu City General Plan, read and understand the information, and most importantly, get out and vote. 🗳️

We celebrated Jean Works as Rotary of the month for all her work with our fireside chat

Andrea Helart spoke about the Chamber Foundation for Education and Leadership and its upcoming Community Dinner, where attendees will have the opportunity to learn more about the great work the Chamber Foundation is doing throughout our community.

This week, we had the opportunity to meet at the new Mohave County Sheriff’s Office station, where we learned more about the work they’re doing to serve our community and were treated to an amazing tour of their new facility. A huge thank you to the Sheriff’s Office for welcoming us and taking the time to show us around!

💙 A Meaningful Day at Rotary 💛

Today was a sad and heartfelt day as we mourned the loss of a very special member of our Rotary family, Jennifer Luzzi. Jennifer’s friendship, dedication, and service to Rotary touched so many, and she will be deeply missed.

Past President Becky Goldberg led today’s meeting, beginning with a time of gratitude led by Sergeant-at-Arms Taylor Harrison. Many of our members shared what they were grateful for about knowing Jennifer and having the opportunity to serve alongside her. It was a beautiful tribute and reminder of the friendships that Rotary brings into our lives.

Ginny Sautner then shared a heartfelt thank-you note from her father, John Navaretta, thanking our club for dedicating a scholarship in memory of his late wife, Jo Navaretta. 💙

We were also happy to officially welcome Michelle Billings as the newest member of our Rotary family! We’re excited to have you, Michelle, and look forward to serving our community together.

Our program today featured Tanya Pickren with Go Lake Havasu, who shared more about their work and what’s happening in our community.

Today’s meeting truly represented so much of what Rotary is about—friendship, gratitude, remembrance, service, and community.

Rest in peace, Jennifer. Your impact on our Rotary family and our community will not be forgotten. 💙💛
