So we have been keeping a little secret and working on something BIG and now I can finally tell you about it!

We are going on a Field Trip!! To Washington, DC!! To tour the amazing Library of Congress, the Shakespeare Library, the Museum of the Bible, Planet Word Museum, the National American Museum and Dibner Library!!! Plus, 2 plays and a nighttime bus tour of DC! How cool is this going to be???

Join Judy Jay at Mountains Branch Library on Friday, October 9th at 2:00 p.m. to have all your questions answered. We do have a limit of 22 participants, so you are going to want to register and put down your deposit as soon as you are able.

Call Maria at 828-287-6417 if you have any questions before the information session!

Unfortunately, we have to cancel Taste the World with Ginny for tomorrow, October 2nd.

We are sad, too, but I promise we will "visit" Afghanistan soon!

It will be time to register and pay for our next Themed Dinner soon!

As you know, we love a good event where we can dress to the theme. I'm thinking Bigfoot himself, camping/hiking attire (since he is always seen in the woods), or anything you would like to wear.

We don't know yet what the exact meal will be, but it is possible it will be "camp food." I know that can mean different things to different people, but remember, we are here for the fun and the food is just a perk (unless it is really good and then we are here for the food!). LOL

Can't wait for this event!

Dolly Parton was an amazing woman and philanthropist who loved everyone - but loved children and libraries the most.

September 25 has been designated as "Dolly Day" (9/25....9 to 5...get t?).

We encourage you to Give Like Dolly and support your favorite library or charity this Friday. Do it for Dolly!

I am not sure we have had this many programs in a long time!

Please come participate and see how much fun we have at Mountains Branch Library!

PS-----While ALL our programs are amazing, I think The Past and Future of the Flowering Bridge (we all LOVE LOVE LOVE the Flowering Bridge) and Max Sinclair's talk will both be very informative and entertaining at the same time!
