Our culinary students have so many opportunities to showcase their skills in our community and gain real-world culinary experiences! 👩‍🍳👨‍🍳

Recently, they had the opportunity to provide healthy, plant-based snacks to over 50 participants at the Walking Moai, hosted by Strong Financial, as Strong Financial celebrated its second anniversary of walking together!

Students learned about healthy food choices and plant-based ingredients while gaining valuable real-world experience in food preparation, presentation, teamwork, and customer service.

Opportunities like this allow my students to take what they learn in the classroom and put it into practice while serving our community. ❤

Mrs. Ingram's 4th-period Recording Technology students are working on a fun hands-on project right now!🎙📱

Students are creating, recording, editing, and mixing their own original ringtones using Pro Tools.

Students are getting real-world experience with the recording process while putting their own creativity and musical ideas into their projects.

It’s been a fun way to learn recording technology and create something they can actually use on their devices!

A chance to unplug. 🔌

Students were making Diamond art stickers in the Library yesterday for Wellness Wednesday!

For this, students have a 35-minute period of choice time. Staff host students in their rooms for various activities, including crafting, bingo, slime-making, cookie decorating, and more!

This is a chance for students to unplug and engage with each other. ♥

Rock stars. That’s exactly what my students are!♥

On Saturday, September 19, 2026, they stepped up in a BIG way at the Lake County W**e Alliance Dinner & Auction. They prepared and plated salads for 500 guests, then helped with dinner service.

Events like this are where we get to see just how much they’ve grown. They worked under pressure, communicated, stayed focused, helped each other, and kept going until the job was done.

This is what Culinary Arts is all about. Real-world experience, teamwork, professionalism, and learning what it means to show up and get the job done.

We couldn’t be prouder of these kids. They didn’t just look like culinary students; they looked like a professional team.
