is Monday and County of San Diego Parks and Recreation has planned a myriad of events leading up to it. One of the biggest is happening this weekend - in conjunction with other partners activities - to fill our lake environment with fun for the whole family.

Heads up: Next Monday, in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day, our community centers, teen centers and main office will be closed but our parks will remain open for your enjoyment.

County Offices Will Close for Christmas Day Holiday County offices, including family resource centers, library branches and animal shelters will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Dec. 26 in observance of the Christmas holiday.

Join the the 38th Annual Coastal Clean Up Day, I Love A Clean San Diego, at Lindo Lake Park this Saturday 9/17/22.The event includes park staff leading a clean up around Lindo Lake Park. The cleaning will start at 9:00am and end at 12:00pm. Please meet park staff inside the park by the large pavilion, which is approximately 100 yards beyond the entrance at 12660 Lindo Lane, Lakeside, CA 92040.

Events | I Love A Clean San Diego Volunteer Portal

We continue to make great progress on the Lindo Lake Improvements project, restoring the east basin of the lake. To maintain progress and make up for lost time during rain events, contractors will be performing work on the project site this Saturday, Dec. 18, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This shouldn’t interrupt your park outing, but we’d like to thank you for your understanding and continued support of this important project!

Pardon our dust! The Lindo Lake Revitalization Project is in full swing, which means construction materials and machines are on site, and some areas have been temporarily closed to the public. This is for your safety, worker safety and to ensure the long-term health of this unique ecosystem. This Saturday, in particular, may get a little noisy… we apologize, in advance, for any interruption to your play day!

This morning, residents set up 200 flags in a 9-11 formation at our baseball field. Stop by to check it out; it's up all day so people can remember and pay their respects.
