Malone for Senate Members of the legislature should be loyal to constituents, not the other way around.

Senator James Andrew Malone is committed to continuing to deliver real, lasting change for Pennsylvania’s 36th State Senate District, and across the Commonwealth.

If you’re voting by mail this year, here’s my simple ask: don’t wait until the last minute.

Take a few minutes, fill out your ballot, and get it returned.

I’m incredibly grateful to everyone across Lancaster County who has already voted, volunteered, knocked doors, made calls, or simply talked with a neighbor about what’s at stake in this election.

We’re in the final stretch now. Every vote matters, and I’d be honored to earn yours.

I’ve heard some version of this from older neighbors all over Lancaster County: “I did what I was supposed to do. I saved. I planned. The numbers still don’t work like they used to.”

Housing. Food. Prescriptions. Utilities. Transportation. None of that is optional.

That’s why I joined Senator Nick Miller for a Senate Policy Committee hearing in Elizabethtown and listened directly to seniors and the people who serve them.

I don’t need another chart to know costs are squeezing people. I want the policy to match the bills people are actually paying.

Proud to have the recommendation of the Pennsylvania Sheriffs’ Association Action PAC.

Supporting local law enforcement, first responders, and the communities they serve has always been part of how I approach public service.

I’m honored to have their support in this race.

Twenty-five days to go.

If you’ve been meaning to put a Malone sign in the yard, this is a good weekend to do it.

I know yard signs don’t vote. People do. But there’s something useful about letting the people on your block know where you stand. And in a race this close, every conversation helps.

If you want a sign, tell us. We’ll get you one.

Tomorrow’s debate may be off, but the conversation with voters isn’t.

My opponent, has decided not to participate in tomorrow’s debate. I was ready to be there and talk about the issues facing Lancaster County.

But a debate isn’t the only way to talk with voters.
So tomorrow, we’re knocking doors.

We’ll be out in Hempfield talking with neighbors, answering questions, listening to what’s on people’s minds, and making sure voters know what’s at stake on November 3.

That’s how I’ve always approached this job. Show up. Listen. Have the conversation. Do the work.

If you can give us a couple of hours tomorrow, I’d love to have you with us.

Four weeks from today, we vote.

I’ve spent this job hearing from people all over the district. Some of it is easy to fix. Some of it isn’t. But I don’t think a senator gets to decide what matters from behind a desk.

Over these next 28 days, I’ll keep talking about what I’m hearing and what I’ve done about it.

Judge me by the work.

Before I held public office, I worked as a roofer and carpenter to help pay for college.

That experience has stayed with me. It shaped how I think about wages, the trades, and the people who put in long hours to provide for their families.

In the Senate, I’ve co-sponsored legislation to raise Pennsylvania’s minimum wage. This year, I’ve also received endorsements from the Communications Workers of America, AFT Pennsylvania, and UWA.

I appreciate their support and the opportunity to hear from the workers they represent.

A quick look at some of the work I’ve been doing on animal welfare in Pennsylvania.

Senate Bill 1190 focuses on humane pet retail standards for dogs, cats, and rabbits. Thank you to retired veterinarian Dr. Rick Baron for lending his perspective to the conversation.

Lancaster County has started mailing ballots for the November 3 election.

I’m sharing Pennsylvania’s official election-information resource so residents can find the current details that apply to their ballot. The Department of State keeps that information at vote.pa.gov.

Memorial Day asks something difficult of us...

Not celebration alone, and certainly not politics.
It asks for remembrance. Across generations, Americans have left behind families, homes, plans, and futures to serve something larger than themselves. Some never returned. Others returned carrying burdens few of us can fully understand. Today, we pause because freedom, stability, and community are not self-sustaining things. They are preserved by sacrifice.

Here in Lancaster County, and across the Commonwealth, we are surrounded by ordinary people who quietly serve others every day. Veterans, military families, first responders, volunteers, and neighbors. Memorial Day reminds us that citizenship is not simply what we are owed. It is also what we owe one another.

I often speak about neighbors because community is not an abstract idea. It is the person beside you. The family across the street. The veteran sitting quietly at the edge of the ceremony who rarely speaks about what they carried home with them.
The fallen entrusted us with unfinished work: to build communities worthy of their sacrifice. Communities marked by service, decency, courage, and care for one another.
May we remember them with gratitude.
May we honor them through how we live.
May we never treat lightly the cost of the freedoms we inherit.
