🐯🧡🖤 THIS WEEK AT PRE: TIGER PRIDE ON FULL DISPLAY!

What a week at Pleasant Run Elementary! From classroom learning to Homecoming celebrations, our Tigers were busy making memories! 🐾

🌟 Celebrating Excellence! Congratulations to our September and October Students and Staff of the Month! Your hard work and dedication deserve the spotlight! 🏆

🔬 Learning in Action! Ms. Ingram’s scientists explored motors and open circuits, while Mrs. Moore and Ms. Kimbrough were caught keeping students engaged in meaningful learning! 💡👏🏾

🎉 Homecoming Spirit! Our Tigers showed up and showed OUT during Spirit Week! We were especially proud to see our Sister to Sister, My Brother’s Keeper, and PRE Dancing Divas representing Pleasant Run in the Homecoming Parade! 🐅

❤️💚💙🖤 House Friday! Our Houses wrapped up their final lesson on BELONGING, reminding us that every Tiger has a place in our PRE family!

🗳️ Tigers at the Polls! Some of our teachers were also spotted exercising their right to vote! Dallas County early voting continues through October 30. Polls are open 7 AM–7 PM Monday–Saturday and 12–6 PM Sunday, October 25. Visit www.dallascountyvotes.org for locations.

From academic excellence to school spirit and community involvement, THIS is what Tiger Pride looks like! 🧡🖤

🍎🐯 A Message from Our School Nurse, Nurse Sparrow! 🩺❤️

At Pleasant Run Elementary, we care about the WHOLE child! 🧡🖤

Our wonderful school nurse, Nurse Sparrow, wants to share a little food for thought with our PRE families! 💭

Healthy eating habits play an important role in our scholars’ growth, development, energy, and overall well-being.

🍟 Some foods are best enjoyed in moderation! Popular snacks like Takis, Hot Cheetos, candy, snack cakes, sugary cereals, and sweetened drinks are better enjoyed occasionally rather than as everyday choices.

📏 PORTION SIZES MATTER, TOO! Large bags of chips, oversized candy packages, and large sugary drinks can contain multiple servings. Consider offering smaller, age-appropriate portions instead of an entire large package.

🍎 Small swaps can make a difference! Fresh fruit, yogurt, popcorn, cheese, whole-grain crackers, and water are great options to consider.

❤️ A gentle reminder from Nurse Sparrow: This isn’t about judgment or perfection! Every family has different needs, budgets, and routines. Our goal is simply to encourage awareness, balance, and healthier habits whenever possible.

Together, we can help our Tigers grow, learn, and thrive!

Healthy Bodies. Growing Minds. Thriving Tigers! 🐯🧡🖤

🐯🗳️ PRE Families, Your Voice Matters!

Early voting for the November 3rd General Election begins TOMORROW, Monday, October 19th!

At Pleasant Run Elementary, we know that strong schools and strong communities go hand in hand! 🧡🖤

We encourage our eligible families and community members to take time to research the candidates, understand the propositions, and make informed decisions before heading to the polls.

📅 Early Voting: October 19–30
🗳️ Election Day: Tuesday, November 3
📍 Voting Locations & Sample Ballots: www.dallascountyvotes.org

📋 What’s on the ballot?
Voters may see federal, state, county, judicial, and local races, along with propositions that affect our communities.

Remember, Dallas County Proposition A and City of Dallas Proposition A are separate measures, and not every voter will see the same propositions. Be sure to review YOUR sample ballot!

🧡 Be informed. Be engaged. Let your voice be heard!
