We are please to announce new internal assignments designed to make it easier and more efficient for property owners to receive assistance with Ohio’s state property tax exemption program.

Appraisal Assistants Makala Finley and Crystal Walker have been assigned responsibility for administering the local application and processing of the state tax exemption program. Each are highly qualified and have a track record of providing exceptional customer service. The change provides property owners with a clear point of contact when they have questions about applying for tax exemption with the state of Ohio.

The Fairfield County Auditor’s Office has released fact sheets for certain property tax levy issues that will appear on the November 3, 2026, general election ballot.

Fairfield County residents in Madison Township, Pleasant Township, and Pickerington Local School District will see proposed property tax levy issues on their ballots.

▪️Madison Township: Proposed road and bridge improvements levy
▪️Pleasant Township: Proposed Fire and EMS levy
▪️Pickerington Local School District: Proposed levy to support the services of the Pickerington Public Library

By law, the Fairfield County Auditor must certify financial information for these property tax levies prior to them being placed on the ballot.

“The fact sheets provide voters with an overview of the estimated cost per resident, the purpose of the levy funds, and the total amount projected to be collected if the measure is approved,” said Dr. Carri L. Brown, Fairfield County Auditor.

The fact sheets are intended to provide voters with financial information about each levy and do not advocate for or against any measure. They include information addressing commonly asked questions about the proposed levies, including their estimated financial impact.

For additional information about a specific levy, voters should contact the respective agency or entity identified on that levy’s fact sheet.
