We are so grateful to the Lancaster County Council on Aging and the wonderful seniors who handmade blankets for children living with heart differences! ❤️
This project is such a beautiful reminder that kindness has no age limit and that WE ALL have something meaningful to give.
For the seniors who made these blankets, it was an opportunity to use their talents and creativity to serve others, share their love, and make a difference in the lives of children they may never meet. For our heart warriors, these blankets will offer warmth, comfort, and a little extra love during hospital stays, procedures, and some of the hardest days of childhood.
Behind every heart warrior is a family navigating a journey they never expected. A handmade blanket may seem like a simple gift, but to a family spending countless hours in a hospital, it is a reminder that their child is seen, loved, and supported by their community.
At The Sunshine Project, we believe that even in life’s hardest seasons, there is still room for joy, hope, and meaningful connection. These blankets represent all three. They are a beautiful example of one generation pouring love into the next, and we are honored to help carry that love to the families we serve.
Thank you, Lancaster County Council on Aging, for helping us bring a little more sunshine to our heart families!
THIS is what community is all about!! ☀️💛
