Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett's bodyguard was shot and killed by police during a SWAT standoff in Texas after being wanted for impersonating an officer.
Mike King died Wednesday night following a police chase that led into the Children's Medical Center Dallas hospital parking garage shortly before midnight. He barricaded himself inside a vehicle and was forced out by tear gas. Police shot and killed him when he allegedly pulled a gun on officers.
King ran a business that placed police officers in off-duty security jobs and used multiple aliases. He was accused of posing as law enforcement while operating the business, named Off Duty Police Services, and allegedly drove a replica undercover cop car with stolen license plates.
King was not a police officer but worked security for Rep. Crockett in both Washington DC and Texas.

🚨 TEXAS PRIMARY RESULTS SHAKE UP POLITICAL LANDSCAPE 🚨
Primary elections in Texas have brought notable changes for two longtime Democratic figures. Representative Jasmine Crockett, who ran for the U.S. Senate, was defeated in the primary by state Representative James Talarico. The result means Crockett will not advance in the Senate race and, after leaving her House seat to run statewide, will not return to Congress next term. 🗳️
In Houston, Representative Al Green also lost his primary contest following redistricting changes. He was defeated by Christian Menefee, who campaigned on generational change and a new direction for the district.
Political analysts say the results highlight shifting priorities among voters and illustrate how primary elections can reshape party leadership and future strategy. As the general election cycle continues, both parties will be watching closely to see how these changes influence the broader political landscape in Texas.
