What a way to wrap up the Fairfield County Fair!

Today brought beautiful weather, plenty of visitors, a few push-up challenges, and even some future law enforcement officers stopping by to see us. We had a great time talking with everyone and seeing so many familiar faces throughout the day.

The fair also gave us plenty of opportunities to work alongside our public safety partners throughout the week. From keeping events safe to helping when things did not go exactly as planned, that cooperation is an important part of making a busy week like this run smoothly.

The week came to a close with the second night of the Demolition Derby, which made for a great final event.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, said hello, took photos, participated in the fun, or simply spent part of fair week with us. We truly appreciate the support and enjoyed being part of another great Fairfield County Fair.

It was another wet and rainy day at the Fairfield County Fair, but there was still plenty going on.

Lieutenant Sims, Sergeant Hall, Officer Jones, and Officer Squires competed in the First Responder Cattle Show, while Officer Evanichko and Officer Yeshak got in on the fair fun by showing a sheep.

The rain stuck around for most of the day, but that did not stop everyone from making the most of it. The evening also brought the first night of the Demolition Derby, giving fairgoers another great event to enjoy.

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather and stopped by to see us.

Kids Day at the Fairfield County Fair was a busy one!

We had plenty going on throughout the day, including a visit from Darren the D.A.R.E. Lion, K9 Omega and Officer Pierce, and lots of families stopping by to see us.

The evening brought even more action with the Combine Derby and the Human Tractor Pull. LPD entered the tractor pull as the “City Boyz” and came away with the win!

Thanks to everyone who came out, stopped by, and made it another great day at the fair. We are already wondering what tomorrow will bring!

Today was Senior Citizen Day at the Fairfield County Fair, and it turned into a pretty full day.

Officer Graf had a little fun showing Benny the Goat in a costume contest with some of our younger fairgoers. Benny was dressed as one of Officer Graf’s D.A.R.E. students, which made for a fun addition to the day.

The weather gave us a little bit of everything, from heat and humidity to afternoon rain, before things cooled off for the evening. Thankfully, the rain held off for the truck and tractor pull, which made for a great event and a nice way to finish the day.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by. Now we’re wondering what other animals we’ll get to meet before fair week is over!

It was another hot one at the Fairfield County Fair, but we still had a great day seeing everyone who stopped by.

We also enjoyed a visit from Boy Scout Troop 106 and Cub Scout Pack 106. Thanks for stopping by and spending some time with us!

The good news is cooler weather is on the way, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone throughout the rest of fair week.

Another great day at the Fairfield County Fair!

Today was Veterans Day at the fair, and we were glad to see so many people come out and spend the day with us. We especially want to thank all of the veterans in our community for their service and sacrifice.

There was also plenty of excitement with the rodeo, which brought a great crowd and made for another fun day at the fair.

While you are at the fair this week, don’t forget to stop by the D.A.R.E. tent and enter for a chance to win a bicycle generously donated by Shelly Materials.

We have enjoyed seeing everyone so far and look forward to another great week at the Fairfield County Fair!

Yesterday was the first day of the Fairfield County Fair, and even though the weather was a little gloomy, that did not stop people from coming out and saying hello. It was a great start to the week, and we enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces throughout the day.

A new addition to the Lancaster Police Department office at the fair this year is a bench honoring Officer Hambel. The bench was donated in his memory and is a meaningful addition to our space at the fair. We are grateful to have it with us this week.

We look forward to seeing everyone throughout the rest of the Fairfield County Fair. Stop by and say hi if you see us!

Fairfield County Emergency Management is launching a new “Safe Kid” Initiative at the Fairfield County Fair, and the Lancaster Police Department is glad to help support it.

EMA has partnered with the Lancaster Police Department, Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office, and Lancaster Fire Department to help distribute safety wristbands for children attending the fair.

Parents and guardians can stop by one of the public safety tents along the Cattle Barn Midway to pick up a wristband and add a child’s name and contact number. If a child becomes separated from their family, the information can help public safety personnel quickly make contact and reunite them.

We appreciate Fairfield County Emergency Management for bringing this new safety resource to the fair and are happy to help make it available to local families.

Fairfield County Emergency Management Agency is proud to sponsor the Fairfield County "Safe Kid" Initiative next week at the Fairfield County Fair, Lancaster, Ohio

We’ve teamed up with the Lancaster Police Department, Fairfield County Sheriff's Office, and the Lancaster Fire Department to help distribute special safety wristbands for children.

To participate, stop by one of their tents along the Cattle Barn Midway. They will help you write your child’s name and your phone number on the inside of the wristband. If you become separated during the fair, law enforcement can quickly remove the wristband and contact you to reunite your family.

We’re excited to support this simple but important safety resource. Let’s work together to keep our kids safe at the Fair!
