Lancaster EMS would like to give a big thank you to Doris’s Quilters for Vets for their donation to the veterans on our team! Each quilt is unique and was handmade by volunteers. Phyllis, one of the group members, visited our headquarters to deliver them and share more about their mission.

Doris’s Quilters for Vets was founded in 2016 by Doris Fahnestock after she turned her passion for sewing into a way to honor those who have served. Since then, the group has donated more than 1,900 handmade quilts across all 50 states.

We appreciate the thoughtfulness and time that went into handmaking these quilts for our veterans. Thank you again!

Over the past six weeks, a team of Lancaster EMS employees have been enjoying some friendly competition in the 2026 Penn Medicine Park Fall Kickball League! To add a fun twist, each game had a different theme, including soccer kickball, supersized, mat ball, and Halloween. Last night was the team’s final game of the season, and they took home the win!

Please join Lancaster EMS in congratulating AEMT Stoner and EMT Roldan Vanegas on receiving gold brain pins from Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital! These pins recognize their exceptional prehospital care of a stroke patient.

Their quick action and transport allowed the patient to arrive at LGH and receive treatment within 30 minutes, which can reduce or even reverse the damage caused by a stroke.

Great work, AEMT Stoner and EMT Roldan Vanegas!

Lancaster EMS was invited to visit Lincoln Middle School last week along with the Lancaster City Bureau of Police and Bureau of Fire. We had a great time talking to students about EMS and our role within the community. Students were able to take a look inside one of our ambulances, as well. Thank you for having us!

Lancaster EMS is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team!

In this role, you will oversee the researching, purchasing, and coordination of all medical supplies, office/housekeeping supplies, routine equipment, and durable medical equipment. You will also oversee medical device maintenance and repair. Your expertise will drive process improvements, optimize inventory control, maintain regulatory compliance, and enhance vendor and customer relationships. The ideal candidate is energized by problem-solving, data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver exceptional logistics solutions that support our organizational goals.

The ideal candidate will have:
- Minimum of 1 year of prehospital clinical experience (e.g. EMT)
- Demonstrated ability in procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and negotiation with suppliers across diverse categories.
- Proven experience using data analytic software, inventory control software, and Microsoft Excel
- Hands-on experience with warehouse distribution processes, including shipping & receiving, freight coordination, inventory stocking, and materials handling.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and repair minor equipment malfunction (e.g. replacing a broken seatbelt)
- Excellent communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration within supply chain teams and external vendors.

To celebrate the start of fall, Lancaster EMS had themed treats available for staff at our LGH station and headquarters! There was apple c***r, crumb cake, harvest trail mix, and pumpkin muffins, along with pumpkin and apple c***r loaf cake. We hope everyone enjoyed a little taste of fall!

We need your help! Lancaster EMS is down to our final few stuffed animals for pediatric patients. Giving a child a stuffed animal during transport helps to bring them comfort and peace of mind. Not only that, it can help to calm their nerves, which allows our providers to better support the patient and gain trust.

Please consider making a donation to support the pediatric patients in our community using the link below. Monetary donations will be used to purchase stuffed animals to replenish the stock on our ambulances.

We also accept donations of new stuffed animals, which can be dropped off at 715 Fairview Ave, Lancaster, PA 17603, Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 2 PM. Please note that we cannot accept pre-loved stuffed animals due to health and safety reasons.
