Upper ridging and full sunshine will likely result in record-breaking temperatures this afternoon.

10/10/2026

Most of our area has been upgraded to a Slight Risk (level 2/5) for severe weather for Sunday. Showers are likely with possible scattered afternoon thunderstorms. Main concerns are strong winds and the potential for a few brief tornadoes. Highest confidence is south and east of Richmond, as storms may struggle to form over the piedmont.
