During Letisha's first year, referrals to our program supporting incarcerated parents, their children, and the children's caregivers, referrals grew from 249 to 617, and she's delivered 89 Build-A-Bears to children, each containing a recorded message from their incarcerated parent.
Alongside her coworker, Karizma Pomales, she helped 39 incarcerated parents graduate from Parenting Inside Out classes, giving them tools to strengthen their relationships with their children, as well as facilitating 300 contact visits between parents & children at Lancaster County Prison.
One of her key accomplishments this year was creating a pathway for children of incarcerated parents to access counseling at Sun Point Wellness, who prioritized our referrals.
