Fact Friday!

When emergencies happen, we count on first responders to be there. Property taxes help fund the people, equipment, and resources that fire crews and other first responders need to serve our community.

This Friday, we’re highlighting another way property taxes support the services our community relies on.

Every October, communities across the nation come together to recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month and to amplify the voices, needs, and experiences of survivors.

On the third Thursday of the month, people are encouraged to wear purple to show support, remembrance, and solidarity. This year, Fairfield DD team members from every department joined in, wearing purple to help raise awareness and stand with survivors in our community. 💜

Did you know the Fairfield County Fair is hosting a Sensory Day on Monday, October 12? 🎡

Sensory Hours will run from 10:00 a.m. to noon. During this time, all rides in Kiddie Land will operate with no lights or music, and select larger rides will do the same. These adjustments help create a calmer, more comfortable environment so everyone can enjoy the fair experience. 🍭

Be sure to stop by the ride wristband stand to learn about any Sensory Day discounts that may be available! 🎢
