Fall Safety Week is September 14โ€“18. Throughout the week, Lancaster ISD will conduct safety drills at every campus to help students and staff practice how to respond in an emergency.

Parents and guardians may notice more police vehicles at their childโ€™s campus during the week. Please do not be alarmed; officers will be present to support the drills. Campus staff will guide students through each exercise using age-appropriate instructions.

If your child has questions or concerns afterward, please talk with them and reach out to their campus for support.

Thank you for helping us keep safety a shared priority across Lancaster ISD.

National Police Woman Day

Today, we proudly recognize and thank three remarkable women who serve the Lancaster ISD Police Department with courage, compassion, and professionalism: Sgt. Washington-White, Officer Christian, and Officer Baker.

Each day, these officers lead by example, protect our school community, and positively impact the lives of our students and staff. Their strength, dedication, and commitment to service do not go unnoticed.

Thank you for the sacrifices you make and for representing women in law enforcement with such honor and distinction. We are incredibly proud to have each of you as part of our team!

Please join us in celebrating these outstanding officers on National Police Woman Day!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and honor the first responders, service members, and ordinary citizens who demonstrated extraordinary courage in the face of tragedy.

We remember the families whose lives were forever changed and stand together in reflection, gratitude, and unity.

May we never forget the bravery, sacrifice, and resilience shown on that solemn day.

๐Ÿ‘ฎ Have you noticed a new officer at your school recently?

Now that school is in session, we have several campus assignment updates to share, including changes made over the summer and upcoming transitions.

Over the summer:

* Officer Carrillo was assigned to Rolling Hills Elementary and Rosa Parks Elementary.
* Officer Warren joined Sgt. Washington-White at Elsie Robertson Middle School.

Beginning Monday, August 31, 2026:

* Following his recent promotion to Detective, Officer Davis will be reassigned to Pleasant Run Elementary.
* Officer Uresti will join Officer Tutton and K9 Lucy at Lancaster High School.

While assignment changes are uncommon, our commitment remains the same: providing a safe and secure learning environment for every Lancaster ISD student and staff member.

Please join us in welcoming our officers to their new campus assignments! ๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ–ค
