For the past ten years, David Palya has been a steady, caring presence on our Renovation and Maintenance team, you may often see David caring for the Homestead Village Pool. This September, David took his commitment one step further. He ran in the Bird-in-Hand Marathon on September 12, and chose to dedicate his race to the Homestead Village Endowment Fund for benevolent care! Through his efforts, David raised over $5,000!
David shared that he feels deeply motivated to give back to the residents who have shown him such kindness and generosity throughout his years of service. Running has become a meaningful outlet for him, and this year he is participating in several races, each one benefiting a different charity close to his heart. For his Bird-in-Hand run, he chose Homestead Village.
We are grateful for David's dedication, his generosity of spirit, in giving back to the community he serves so faithfully.

Both Homestead Village and Powerback Rehab, our rehabilitation services provider, are celebrating 40th anniversaries this year! Today we celebrated with the “40 and Fit” challenge event for residents which featured fun exercise challenges, healthy snacks, giveaways, and even a “mocktail” bar!
