Join us at the County Courthouse for a public reading of the Declaration of Independence and enjoy the onsite food trucks or bring a picnic lunch! Today (Wednesday July 8, 2026) at Noon!

Join us as our community comes together to commemorate a defining moment in American history.

On Wednesday, July 8, at Noon, gather at the Fremont County Courthouse Veterans Memorial for a public reading of the Declaration of Independence, honoring the first public reading of the Declaration 250 years ago.

Bring a picnic lunch, enjoy food trucks on site, and take a few moments to reflect on the words that helped shape our nation.

We hope to see you there!

County Offices with the exception of the Sheriff's office will be closed Friday July 3 in observance of Independence Day. We wish you a Happy and Safe 4th of July!

The County Courthouse is currently experiencing a power outage, due to this the County Offices will close at 2:00pm on Thursday 6/25/2026. The Courtside of the building will remain open until 3:00 pending further notice. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. UPDATE: The County Courts are operational and will remain open until 5pm.

Rocky Mountain Power has a planned power outage for the County Courthouse on Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at 5:00pm. As a result the Treasurer and Clerks lobbies will close at 4:30pm to ensure all transactions are complete prior to the outage. Thank you for your understanding!
