๐Ÿš”๐Ÿ˜‚ **BREAKING NEWS FROM LPD: THE ZOOM MEETING THAT WASNโ€™T!**

You know itโ€™s going to be a good day when you walk up to the Chiefโ€™s office and see a sign that says, *โ€œIN A ZOOM MEETING.โ€* ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ’ป

Well, the Captain and Support Services Coordinator decided the office needed a little clarificationโ€ฆ so naturally, they posted their own signs:

๐Ÿšซ **NOT IN A ZOOM MEETING.** ๐Ÿ˜‚

Because apparently, at Lander PD, even the office doors need a little friendly reminder that not everyone is on a video call!

Weโ€™ll keep you posted if the signs start having meetings of their own. ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿš”

๐Ÿš” Proof of Insurance Reminder โ€“ Lander Police Department ๐Ÿš”

Did you know that Wyoming law requires drivers to provide proof of motor vehicle liability insurance upon demand by a law enforcement officer?

Under Wyoming Statute 31-4-103, officers may request proof of insurance during a traffic stop, while issuing a citation, or during a vehicle inspection. Proof of insurance can be provided in either of the following forms:

โœ… Physical insurance card
โœ… Digital proof of insurance displayed on a smartphone or other electronic device

The Lander Police Department takes this initiative seriously because uninsured vehicles can create significant financial hardships for everyone involved in a crash.

A violation of Wyoming's compulsory insurance law may result in a citation. A first offense can carry a total penalty of up to $570.00, and additional penalties may apply for subsequent violations.

For those interested in reviewing the statute, you can find it here:

Wyoming Statute 31-4-103 โ€“ Failure to Maintain Liability Coverage

Thank you for helping keep Lander's roads safe. Before heading out, take a moment to make sure your insurance is current and that you can quickly access proof of coverage if requested.
