🎃👻 Trick-or-Treating Safety Reminders! 🍬

Halloween is almost here, Middletown! Before you head out for a night of costumes, candy, and spooky fun, here are a few reminders to help keep everyone safe! 🧡

🍬 Stay Visible: Wear bright colors, use reflective accessories, and carry flashlights or glow sticks.

👻 Stick Together: Young children should always be accompanied by a responsible adult.

🚦 Cross Safely: Use sidewalks and crosswalks whenever possible, and look both ways before crossing the street.

🚗 Drivers, Slow Down! Be extra cautious in neighborhoods and watch for excited trick-or-treaters.

🏠 Visit Well-Lit Homes: Only approach homes with their porch lights on, and never enter a stranger’s home.

🍫 Check Your Treats: Parents and guardians should inspect candy before children dig in!

🎃 From all of us at Middletown Township, we wish you a safe, fun, and SPOOKTACULAR Halloween! 👻🧡

🚒 More smiles, more learning, and more Fire Prevention Month fun!

Our crews have continued visiting local schools, preschools, and daycares, helping our community’s youngest residents learn important fire safety habits and get to know the firefighters who serve them.

Thank you to the teachers and staff for welcoming us and to all the students for their curiosity, great questions, and enthusiasm! 🔥🧑‍🚒

Here are a few more highlights from our recent visits. Fire Prevention Month may be winding down, but fire safety is something we practice all year long!

Nearly 40 Years Later, Still on the Ceiling! 😲

While out in the community installing new smoke alarms, our crews recently discovered this Firex alarm believed to date back to the 1980s!

Community visits like these help us identify outdated alarms, share fire safety information, and ensure residents have working smoke alarms to protect their families.
