Take a look into Lansdowne’s past over at the 20-20 House with the Stories We Share exhibition.

On Saturdays and Sundays between noon and 2 p.m. you’ll find articles and artifacts from our favorite borough.

You can check out all sorts of items, including this uniform coat worn by the late Sgt. Joe Nero as well as artwork from his former coworker and artist, retired Officer Larry Smalley.

There are a number of special events in the coming weeks as well for you to check out.

The exhibit runs through December 20th.

Congrats to officers Benoit, Tobelmann and Brolley for crushing the annual Run for Heroes over in Springfield this morning.

This is the 25th edition of the 5K run that benefits the Delaware County Hero Scholarship Fund.

The Fund benefits children of police, firefighters and emergency responders lost in the line of duty.

Thanks guys for representing us with honor this morning!

We never knew him, but he was one of us.

Our hearts go out to the men and women of the Philadelphia Police Department for the loss of Officer Shane Seiber early this morning.

We’re keeping his family and friends in our prayers as well as for the healing and recovery of his fellow officer shot in the line of duty in the same incident.

This incident is a stark reminder of the dangers officers face every day.

Officer Seiber leaves behind a wife and two children.

Missing your best friend?

This pup was in the area of E. Lacrosse and Rigby avenues wandering about.

They’ll be at the station for a little while and then off to Brandywine Valley SPCA.

On the cloudiest of days, sometimes that one ray of sunshine burns brightest. Earlier this week one of our young residents proved that over at the Wawa during school dismissal.

Officer Tobelmann is a favorite of his and we’re sure the feeling is mutual.

A tip of the cap to Abby for her ongoing and continuing efforts to foster positive interactions with our youth.

Good kids literally make our day!

This weekend, we challenge you to make a difference in the life of a kid.

Among our ranks we’re fortunate to have four officers who have served in the United States military. For years we’ve partnered with the American Legion on efforts to commemorate service and honor veterans.

So it was with solemn pride that we were able to honor the more than 58,000 men and women who gave their lives during the Vietnam War earlier this week, taking part in an es**rt detail for “The Wall That Heals.”

This 3/4 replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial made its way through the county on Tuesday, starting at the Delaware County Veterans Memorial in Newtown and ending in Aston Township.

Dozens of Vietnam Vets on motorcycles headed the es**rt and were supported by representatives from Delaware County law enforcement.

It was simply amazing to see the show of support from members of the community along the route.

We remember the sacrifice of the men and women lost in Vietnam and throughout our 250 years.

The Wall That Heals will be on display and open to the public 24/7 now through early Sunday morning at the Aston Township Municipal Building located at 3264 Concord Road.

We couldn’t go a September 30th without celebrating Chief Daniel Donegan Day here in Lansdowne

The day was officially established by a mayoral proclamation on September 30, 2020, by then-Mayor Anthony Campuzano to honor the retirement celebration of the Lansdowne’s long-time Chief of Police.

Chief Donegan served the borough for more than two decades, including roles as an investigative sergeant and patrol officer before being appointed police chief.

Chief, we hope you’re enjoying your retirement from Lansdowne!

No crime updates.

No flooding stories.

Just wishing you all a great day.

Make a difference in someone’s life on this Tuesday no matter how small it is.

That’s it.

That’s the post.

Not wind nor heavy rain could deter officers and supporters from around the county to participate in the Su***de Awareness Walk-a-Thon hosted by the Aston Township Police Relief Association

While it’s usually an outdoor event, the weather forced us inside Sun Valley High School for the 24-hour event that wrapped up at 8 a.m.

Each participant is assigned one hour to walk the school to bring awareness to su***de prevention and the importance of mental health for those in Law Enforcement.

If you’re struggling. If you’re tired. If you think you just can’t go another day, reach out. No one fights alone. There’s no issue we can’t work through.

Thanks so much to the Aston Township Relief Association for organizing this event and allowing us to participate.
