For 100 years, the Hangar has gone through openings, closings, "renovations" (ouch) and the start of real restorations.
Now, the real work begins. This fall, we begin structural changes that will preserve the Hangar's architectural integrity while creating a community gathering space that will knock your socks off!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Historic Ford Hangar Centennial Gala and helped celebrate 100 years of aviation, innovation, and community history in Lansing. It was a memorable evening made possible by our guests, supporters, and generous sponsors.

The Gala celebrated the Hangar’s first 100 years, but it also marked the beginning of the work to secure its future.

The Village of Lansing officially launched the Historic Ford Hangar Capital Campaign to assist in raising the funding needed to restore and renovate the Hangar.

Once restored, the Hangar will become a premiere venue for concerts, expos, conferences, weddings, private events, and community gatherings. It will also provide space for aviation and STEM education, workforce-development programs, and a museum dedicated to the Hangar’s history.

The Historic Ford Hangar’s next chapter depends on the community that has supported it for the past 100 years. Every contribution brings us one step closer to restoring this landmark for generations to come.
