Congratulations to Lt Dana Tatgenhorst and Sgt Jake Miklusak on their promotions. Dana started his career at LPD at age 15 as a Cadet. He was sworn in as a Police Officer when he was 21. He has served as Patrol Officer, Tac Officer, Truck Enforcement, Accident Reconstructionist, and more. Most recently, he was in charge of Community Policing as a Sergeant. We know he is going to do a great job leading one of our patrol shifts as a Lieutenant.

Jake has been at LPD for 10 years. He moved into the Criminal Investigations Division early in his career and was a valuable asset for the South Suburban Major Crimes Task Force. He has mentored many new detectives along the way, and will continue that as a Patrol Sergeant.

UPDATE: Black Philip has been returned to the owner.😢

Do you know me?

I wandered away from home and made some new friends at Alloy Mechanical. They didn’t know how to get me home so they called Lansing Illinois Police Department (708) 895-7150 to come and help out. The ACO says I am the biggest dog he has ever seen but I don’t have a microchip or tag. He said I could stay with him for a while though until we can reach my owner. If you know who that might be please call LPD right away. Thank you!

Do you know me?

I was just found by a very nice young man at the United Motel here in Lansing. He was very kind and picked me up and brought me the Lansing Illinois Police Department (708) 895-7150, where I will be staying for a bit. I am very timid but very sweet, but I do not have any signs of ownership. If you know where I belong, please call LPD. Thank you!

Do you know me?

I found my way to a quiet porch on the 18000 block of Burnham Ave., this weekend and settled in, but it wasn’t mine. Then, Lansing Illinois Police Department (708) 895-7150 came and picked me up. They said I have a dead end chip that they are looking into but I should post here to see if anyone recognizes me. If you do please give them a call. Thank you!

PUPDATE: Now at South Suburban Humane Society

Do you know me?

I was found tied to a shipping container on the 2500 block of 173rd St this weekend. I have a collar but no chip. I am very skittish and quite dirty and poorly cared for. Lansing Illinois Police Department (708) 895-7150 has me now though and I am doing better. They say they may transport me soon though. If you have any information please give them a call. Thanks!

PUPDATE: Now at South Suburban Humane Society

Do you know me?

I found a very nice home to visit near 185th St and Glen Oak Ave, after a long day of swimming in burr bushes. The nice lady who lives there took very good care of me but couldn’t find my owners so she called Lansing Illinois Police Department (708) 895-7150 to come and try to get me home. They said I have a nice collar but no signs of ownership so we should post here to see if anyone recognizes me. If you do. Please call! Thank you!
