LARC clients and staff enjoyed an ice cream social today in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. They learned about breast cancer in men and women, symptoms to look out for, and the importance of mammograms. Clients and staff also had the opportunity to share their personal experiences with breast cancer.

Many thanks to Hammond AHEPA (American Hellenic Education Progressive Association) Chapter 123 for hosting the Kashmir (Led Zeppelin tribute band) concert Saturday at historic Hoosier Theater and naming LARC as a beneficiary. LARC brought staff and volunteers to help usher at the show that also featured opening act, The Band Dudes.

Today is National Chocolate Covered Pretzel Day. Who knew? Our staff knew! Clients had fun dipping pretzels in milk chocolate and white chocolate. Salty, crunchy pretzels with sweet chocolate --Yum!
