Ionia County is hiring a part-time Veterans Service Officer

The Ionia County Veterans Service Office is seeking a part-time veteran service officer (VSO) https://ioniacounty.org/position/veterans-service-officer/

Responsibilities include assisting with benefit claims and appeals, researching eligibility, providing benefits counseling, advocating for veterans and connecting them with federal, state and local resources. The VSO will also conduct community outreach, build partnerships, serve as a liaison between county veteran counselors and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and support MVAA initiatives.
