ADVOCACY IN ACTION | Standing Up Against the Criminalization of Homelessness

The Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness (MCAH) has joined forces with the ACLU of Michigan and the National Homelessness Law Center to formally oppose proposed city ordinances addressing prowling and trespassingd in Traverse City, MI.

Our message is clear: Criminalizing homelessness does not solve homelessness. Housing does.

MCAH is committed to ensuring that local policies respect the rights and dignity of people experiencing homelessness while advancing meaningful, housing-focused solutions.

This is advocacy in action. Working alongside partners, elevating concerns, and making sure the voices of our most vulnerable neighbors are part of the conversation.
