Cam Cavitt - State Representative's bill was just signed into law, banning the use of traumatizing restraints, blindfolds, and late-night pickups when transporting children into necessary mental health care facilities.

✅Banning politicians from handing out grants and subsidies with our tax dollars and then being rewarded with jobs

The first is state law. The second is sitting in the Senate. Senate Dems, let’s send this bill to protect taxpayers to the governor’s desk.

Banning politicians from becoming lobbyists was a necessary reform, and we were proud to lead the way to getting it signed into law. And now, we’re EXPANDING it.

HB 6282 prevents lawmakers from going to work for groups that receive cash grants to RAISE our utility rates.

This is a MAJOR conflict of interest that directly threatens higher costs for Michiganders, and that's why we did something about it. Time for Senate Dems to do the same and pass this bill.

House Republicans passed bills to strengthen penalties for criminal sexual conduct and PROTECT women, children, & other vulnerable people from predators.

These are serious crimes, and the punishment should reflect that. Senate Dems have yet to take up these bills to protect victims & hold criminals accountable.

Another day, another measure holding state officials accountable ⚖️

Rep. Parker Fairbairn’s HB 6282 bans politicians from taking a job with any group that receives cash grants to raise our rates — grants funded by money Michigan families pay through their utility bills.

After banning politicians from becoming lobbyists, we’re closing another revolving door: protecting ratepayers and making government more honest.

If Senate Dems stand with Michigan families, they should pass this now.
