WYOMING VOTERS: KNOW THE FACTS

It has been brought to our attention that there is a social media post circulating that claims that election workers writing on your ballot will cause it to be disqualified. That claim is misleading for Wyoming voters.

Wyoming Statute 22-13-105 requires an election judge or County Clerk to initial a paper ballot before giving it to a voter. These required initials do not invalidate your ballot.
The statute also prohibits other identifying marks on an official ballot.

If you see an election judge initial your ballot, they are following Wyoming law. If you have questions about a mark on your ballot, ask an election judge or your County Clerk before voting.

Please help share accurate election information.

Good Morning!!!!

Today is the last day to register to vote without also having to cast an early absentee ballot.

Beginning October 20th, you may still register and make changes to your registration you will just have to be prepared to also cast a ballot in person in the early absentee vote center located on the eastside of the courthouse.

If you are not wanting to vote early, you may also wait until election day and go to any of the 10 election day vote centers and do everything.

As always if you have any questions please reach out to our office 307-721-2546

🌞 GOOD MORNING!

Well… it’s been a WEEK!

We’ve sent out OVER 1,000 absentee ballots and kicked off early voting on Tuesday! 🗳️

And honestly? Seeing our community show up and participate has been pretty exciting. Voting is an important civic duty, and we love seeing people take part!

BUT… we have a little something special for the younger members of the community. 👀👇

🗳️ THE KIDS HAVE OPINIONS TOO!
For this General Election, our staff created a Children’s Ballot for those who aren’t quite old enough to vote yet but still want to participate alongside their parents.

So, if you’re bringing your kiddos with you to vote, MAKE SURE THEY GET THEIR VERY OWN BALLOT! 🙌

Because let’s be honest… they have opinions. 😂

They’ll get the opportunity to weigh in on some VERY IMPORTANT ISSUES, including:

⚾ SPORTS
🍕 FOOD
🐶 ANIMALS

And yes, we fully expect some serious debate over those choices. 😂

It’s a fun way to get kids involved, let them see how the voting process works, and start those conversations about civic participation early.

📅 Early voting will continue through November 2nd at the Election Building, located on the east side of the courthouse.

🗓️ Monday–Friday
⏰ 9:00 AM–5:00 PM

🚨 One exception: We will be closed October 12th in observance of the holiday.

And don’t forget to check out the sample ballots at the link below!

👀 And PLEASE peep the Children’s Ballot. It might be our favorite one. 😍

Bring your ballot.
Bring your family.
Bring the kids.

And maybe prepare yourself for some very strong opinions about pizza and puppies. 😂🍕🐶

We’ll see you at the polls! ❤️

🎉🗳️ FUN FACT…YOUR VOTER REGISTRATION HAS A JOB! 😂

It’s National Voter Registration Day!!! While your voter registration may not be the most exciting thing on your to-do list, it’s definitely one of those things you’ll be glad you checked BEFORE Election Day. 😉

So, consider this your friendly little nudge from us:

🏡 Moved recently? Your registration might need an address update.

✏️ Changed your name? Let’s get that updated, too!

🗳️ Never registered to vote? Today is a pretty great day to check that off the list!

🤔 Not sure if your registration is current? Don’t guess. CHECK IT! 😜

And if you check everything and it’s already correct…

👏👏👏 LOOK AT YOU! RESPONSIBLE AND PREPARED!
We’re impressed. 😂

📋 Voter registration information and resources are available through the Wyoming Secretary of State as well in our handy dandy info flyer: https://www.albanycountywy.gov/DocumentCenter/View/7893/Printable-Election-Information-Flyer

Because the goal is simple:

Know your registration. Know what you need. Be ready to vote. 🗳️❤️

And please…don’t wait until Election Day to discover that your voter registration needs a little attention. That’s a plot twist nobody needs. 😂

🗳️ The 2026 Primary Election is Official! 🎉

The Albany County Canvass was conducted this morning, and the 2026 Primary Election has officially been certified!

You can find the official results here:

A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who hung with us through the growing pains of trying something new with vote centers. We truly appreciate your patience, questions, feedback, and support as we navigated this new process together.

We have heard so much positive feedback, along with some great suggestions for how we can make things even better. Needless to say, we are heading into the General Election with high spirits and lots of excitement! 🙌

Now it’s time to clean everything up, put away the Primary Election boxes (you know there are A LOT of those 😉), and get ready for the General Election!

Again Thank you, Albany County, for making this first adventure with vote centers a great one!

08/19/2026

🗳️ The results will be rolling in shortly from our voter centers!

Please keep in mind that we will post the results once we have received all of them and have everything ready to report.

We want to do our candidates and everyone watching a little favor and avoid the nerve-racking roller coaster of fluctuating results. 😁🎢

Thank you for your patience while we make sure everything is in and reported accurately. We’ll keep you posted! 🗳️

🎉 Fun Fact Friday! 🗳️

We’ve had several questions today about Vote Centers, so let’s do a quick recap!

🏫 We are NOT using the schools within Laramie city limits for Election Day voting.

Why the change? Because the schools were not going to be available for both the Primary and General Elections, we made the decision to move away from using them altogether. We didn’t want to have voters learning one location for the Primary, only to have to change locations again for the General. We felt consistency throughout the election year was the better choice! 👍

So, for Election Day, your Albany County Vote Centers are:

📍 Albany County Fairgrounds
📍 Albany County Public Library
📍 Centennial School
📍 Harmony School
📍 Laramie Peak Fire Hall
📍 Lincoln Community Center
📍 MHR Gateway Center
📍 Municipal Operations Center
📍 Rock River Town Hall
📍 Sybille Wildlife Research Unit

🚨 IMPORTANT REMINDER:
Election Day is August 18th. Polls open at
7 a.m and close at 7 p.m. Voting WILL NOT take place at the Albany County Courthouse on Election Day.

We know there are a lot of locations and details to remember, so keep following along! We’ll keep doing our best to make voting information as easy to find (and hopefully a little fun 😉) as possible!
