Our Bookmobile had a busy summer! 🙌

Alby the Bookmobile saw 1,469 visitors this year! Last year, Alby had 766 visitors. That's 703 more visits this year than last, which is equivalent to the entire UW Cowboy Football team visiting us over 6 times each. 🏈

Imagine the entire Cowboy Football team at War Memorial Stadium, then clone them 6 times! That's how many more visitors Alby saw in 2026. Thank you for making this year a successful year for our mobile library!

Alby is still hoping to make stops at Washington Park every Thursday from 3 to 5, weather dependent. We'll hopefully see you there!

Birds of a feather read together! 🐦🕊️

We've partnered with for this fun display all about birds. 🤩Come check out a birdy book and be sure to join us for Shoreline Sentinels of Great Salt Lake on Friday, October 16 at 1:00 p.m.!

Have you seen our pods yet? 👀

We now have 5 private study pods for patrons to use! We have 1 one-person pod, 2 two-person pods, and 2 four-person pods. One pod also has frosted glass, which is perfect for tele-health visits, nursing mothers, or anyone who needs a little more privacy.

Talk to a staff member at the circulation desk to reserve a pod! 🤩

Our October StoryWalk® is The Great Monster Hunt by Norbert Landa! 🎃 Enjoy this spooky tale about animal friends facing a monster while going on a walk around the block. Start on Grand Ave and go around the library to read the full story! It's a great way to get outside and read a new story this October. 🙌

We are so excited for some of the new releases coming to the library this October. It is officially time for a cozy fall read, and we've got some great new titles to cuddle up and enjoy. 🍂☕

🎨 ADULT CRAFTERNOON IS BACK! 🎨

This Sunday, we teamed up with for an Artist Trading Card Workshop, and the results were amazing! Thank you to everyone who joined us, created their own trading cards, and traded designs with fellow crafters. 💌
Bummed you missed the fun? No worries! Artist trading cards are available to take home and decorate just outside the Wyoming Room. Grab a few cards, decorate them to your heart’s content, and bring them back to trade for new cards!

📍 Artist trading cards are available NOW in Laramie, Centennial, and Rock River. We can’t wait to see what you create!

🎃🌱 And don’t miss next month’s Adult Crafternoon: Seed Saving Isn’t Scary: A Pumpkin Carving Party! Supplies are limited, so be sure to bring your own pumpkin and come ready to learn more about seed harvesting.
