Preserving Homeownership 🏡

DHCD is proud to support longtime homeowners with resources that help them maintain their homes and remain rooted in the communities they’ve helped build. Under the Braveboy Administration, these investments continue to support homeownership and housing stability across Prince George’s County.

Homeownership is within reach. 🏡

Prince George’s County DHCD has already provided $140,000 through our first-time homebuyer assistance programs to help four residents take the next step toward owning a home.

Through programs like the Homeownership Equity Program and Critical Workforce Housing Assistance Program, DHCD is helping make homeownership more accessible for eligible first-time buyers across the County.

🏠 DHCD is joining the Housing Solutions Lab!

The Prince George’s County Department of Housing and Community Development has been selected as one of just eight cities and counties nationwide to participate in the NYU Furman Center’s Housing Solutions Lab 2026 Home Repair Peer Network.

Through the national cohort, DHCD will work alongside housing experts and peer communities to strengthen home repair programs, connect residents to resources, and preserve existing homes across Prince George’s County.

We look forward to bringing new ideas and solutions home to Prince George’s County!
