Join Us! For a Special Clearwater Colored Cemeteries Project Update on Wed, 21 Oct 2026, 1:00 pm. Triva Mack and Emma MacBeath will update the Pinellas Genealogy Society on the status of the PGS state grant project — Clearwater Colored Cemeteries, via Zoom. For the past several years, Triva and the Clearwater Colored Cemeteries Society, also known as the 3C Society (3csocietyinc.org), have worked on this project with the support of PGS.
The presentation will include a brief history of the project, progress to date, current research efforts, and next steps in documenting individuals buried in Clearwater’s historic African American cemeteries, identifying their living relatives, and explaining why that work matters. These efforts help preserve local history and honor the lives and legacies of those connected to these sacred places.
