Cranksgiving is a food drive on two wheels! 🚴‍♀️ Riders take to the streets, visit grocery store checkpoints, and purchase food to help stock local pantries just in time for the holiday season.

We’re excited to share this feature from Organ Mountain News highlighting the progress of Casa de Peregrinos’ new permanent food pantry in Sunland Park!

This long-awaited project represents an important step toward expanding access to nutritious food for families in southern Doña Ana County.

A permanent food pantry nearing completion in Sunland Park could initially serve 500 to 600 families, expanding food access beyond existing mobile distributions.

The prices for groceries, utilities, and everyday necessities have been increasing and families in our community are feeling it. We feel it too.

With more families coming through our doors for assistance, we need the help of our community to support our food drives across town so we can continue our mission. Your donations help us provide food to working families, single mothers, veterans, teachers, college students, and the elderly.

Thank you to the The Las Cruces Bulletin for highlighting the impact of the 2026 Schumacher Grant Pet Food Drive!

For the second year, Casa de Peregrinos partnered with the Schumacher Grant and the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico to help provide pet food to individuals, families, and organizations throughout our region. Together, this year’s drive assembled 4,359 pet food aid bags.
