La Casa Inc. La Casa, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. We believe domestic violence and abuse can be overcome.

We envision a community knowledgeable about domestic violence and abuse and fully engaged and committed to its eradication. We believe that dignity, social justice, safety, freedom from abuse and the pursuit of happiness are basic human rights for all, rights that can only be realized with the active engagement of the entire community. In all our endeavors we affirm these rights without regard to race, creed, religion, gender, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or any other differentiating factors. We actively oppose all forms of violence and abuse including physical, psychological, emotional, verbal, sexual and economic.

🎄 Bring Holiday Magic to Survivors & Families: Host a Wish Tree!

As we look ahead to the holiday season, we are looking for wonderful local businesses and organizations to host a La Casa, Inc. Wish Tree!

Similar to a holiday giving tree, our Wish Tree program helps bring joy, comfort, and essential holiday gifts to survivors and children staying in our emergency shelter and utilizing our support programs.

Hosting a tree in your lobby, storefront, breakroom, or office space is a simple, high-impact way to engage your team and customers in giving back to local families this winter. We provide the Wish Tree ornaments with specific gift requests, and your community helps fulfill them!
Even if you don't have space for a large traditional tree, tabletop setups and flexible display options work wonderfully, too.

If your business or workplace is interested in hosting a Wish Tree this holiday season, please send us a message or email us today! Let’s partner up to make the holidays bright for everyone in our community. ✨

October is the time for horror movies, ghost stories, and haunted houses! Fear can be fun but the people we do spooky fall activities with should never be the ones making us feel afraid.

We should feel safe and loved with the people around us whether we’re at a costume party, in a spooky corn maze, or on the couch watching a scary show.

If someone has made you feel afraid, you are not alone. Start a conversation with someone you trust or reach out to us at: [insert your hotline number]

or reach out to us at the NM Sexual Assault Helpline. Call, text, or chat online at: 1-844-667-2457 | 1-844-NMSAHLP | www.nmsahelp.org

Halloween or year round, we deserve respect no matter what we wear!

Clothing is never an excuse to touch, harass, or make fun of someone. Our boundaries matter at every event, in every outfit.

Our annual Las Cruces Candlelight Vigil is just around the corner, and we strongly encourage everyone in our community to attend.

When domestic violence touches families across our region, standing in silence is not an option. Gathering together as neighbors, friends, and leaders sends an unmistakable message to every survivor in Doña Ana County: you are seen, you are believed, and you are never alone.

This powerful evening will feature words of advocacy and commitment from local representatives, as well as courageous stories shared by survivors themselves. Hearing directly from survivor voices illuminates the reality of the journey, honors those we have tragically lost, and highlights the incredible strength it takes to heal and thrive.

Whether you are standing in support of a loved one, honoring a memory, or showing up as a dedicated community ally, your presence fills the room with hope. Bring your family, invite a friend, and stand shoulder-to-shoulder with us.

📅 When: Thursday, October 15 | 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
