We love highlighting our Advocates 💜

Ruby Blair joined the LVMPD in 2016. Before that, she worked in the legal field and in customer service. However, she knew she wanted a path with greater purpose, one that would allow her to grow professionally while making a meaningful impact in the community. Seeking a career centered on service, Ruby found that opportunity with the LVMPD.

Ruby first hired on as a Law Enforcement Support Technician at CCDC and later in the Evidence Vault. These roles helped her develop a deeper understanding of the justice system while strengthening her professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to public service. Today, Ruby is a bilingual Victim Advocate, where she plays a vital role in supporting victims and their families.

As a Spanish-speaking advocate, Ruby helps bridge communication gaps and ensures individuals understand their rights, available resources, and the support systems in place for them during some of the most difficult moments in their lives. Looking ahead, Ruby hopes to continue growing within the department and expanding the impact she can have on those in need throughout Clark County.

Thank you for all you've done for the community, Ruby!
