Location Highlight: Bobelaine Sanctuary Loop Trail
With over five miles of maintained grassy trails that run through mature oak forest, wildflowers, open grassland, along sloughs and a small lake, through mixed riparian woodland, leading to the bank of the Feather River this trail leads through a beautiful oasis. Over 190 species of birds have been observed in this Audubon sanctuary. Located near Highway 99 after the 99/70 split.

Location Highlight: Tierra Buena
Tierra Buena means "Good Land" in Spanish, and by the amount of groves here, we think the farmers there would agree! There are about 4,500 people living here. Tierra Buena is home of the Tierra Buena Eagles, Sutter Bike Path, grills, taverns, markets, and religious buildings.

Location Highlight: Mawson Bridge
Mawson Bridge is an abandoned bridge over Butte Slough has seen better days since it was built in 1941. This old Pratt through truss designed bridge used to be called the Old Butte Slough Bridge. There is a section of the bridge remaining, and there are several piles (Concrete that holds the bridge up) still marking the former route of Pass road to highway 20. There is a new bridge to the north replacing the old bridge, and has a large parking area for anglers, and summertime swimmers. Very picturesque area with a great view of the Sutter Buttes.
