Duties • Greets customers in office and determines their service needs as soon as possible. • Distributes checks after verifying that the customer’s photo identification is an official document and is current. • Answer incoming phone calls. • Coordinates customer flow and inquires, also schedule appointments for customers on the phone and in person. • Prepares client’s packets and has customers begin appropriate paperwork before their interview, maintain an ample supply of premade packets. • Calls prior year customers to schedule appointments. • Maintains the return filing cabinet, and handles return pickups, any paper which include customer’s information must be maintained in a locket cabinet or shredded. • Maintain office appearance. • Assist in preparation of courier pouches and receives, organizes, and files incoming material. • Handles customer complaints professionally and refers customers to the individual who can assist them. • Perform most office administrative requirements.
The receptionist coordinates and manages the initial greeting of customers, incoming phone calls and the appointment log. They verify customer’s identification, pass out completed returns and make customers packets. The receptionist should also handle other clerical duties may include, but are not limited to, ordering and organizing office supplies, processing customer mailings and making coffee for the waiting area.
Other requirements: Bilingual (English and Spanish), able to work legally in the united state, availability to work Monday through Saturday 10:00 am to 7:00pm during tax season February through April or until the last customer leaves, whichever is later. The following are the required hours for the regular season April 15th – December Monday – Friday 10am. – 6 pm.
The following are the minimum requirements: • Clean, well-kept clothing and person • Collared shirt and pants for men • Skirt o slacks and blouse combination for women (shirts and blouses) • A smile and pleasant manner for everyone.
